Sandra’s Story
Being an attendee of Promise practice in person has helped me become more self-aware of my thoughts and habits. I now take notice of how they affect me. If they are not positive or healthy, I consciously work toward changes that will benefit me.
I have a deeper spiritual relationship with God and a clearer understanding of His love and devotion for me. I am able to understand scripture as an active word from God, and apply it to my daily life. I am more confident in being the woman God has called me to be.
I no longer strive for perfectionism. When I am feeling overwhelmed I use the breathing techniques taught by Michal. I allow myself to be a work in progress.

Why This Matters in DeKalb County
-
Women in DeKalb County are navigating real pressure tied to health, caregiving, chronic stress, and community-level inequities.
According to the 2025 Health of DeKalb report:
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in DeKalb County.
Major cardiovascular diseases are also the leading cause of hospitalization for adults ages 30 and older.
Mental health and substance use needs continue to rise, while crisis-level support remains limited.
Maternal health disparities remain significant, especially for Black women.
Poverty, SNAP reliance, and neighborhood-level social vulnerability continue to impact health and well-being.
Promise Practice™ exists to help women address stress, self-neglect, and emotional overload earlier—through accessible coaching, practical tools, and consistent support.

Promise Practice™ is a structured group coaching experience created to help women regulate stress, renew their mindset, and build sustainable habits that support their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Many women carry the weight of caregiving, careers, relationships, and community responsibilities while silently pushing through exhaustion and overwhelm. Over time, that pressure can affect both emotional health and physical well-being.
Promise Practice™ provides a space where women can pause, reflect, and practice healthier ways of navigating life’s challenges with clarity, stability, and support.
Through guided coaching, reflection exercises, and community encouragement, participants gain practical tools they can apply immediately in their daily lives.
